By joining MED-SOC you’re officially starting your clinical career. 

MED-SOC, created in 2011, is founded on over 30 years of teaching and learning experience.

 

To fully complete MED-SOC and receive certification for UCAS and interview you should undertake the three MED-SOC core skills.

DISSECTION

EXPERIENCE 

When joining MED-SOC, you choose an event location from any on our UK-wide tour.

Undertake systematic and methodical dissection of real organs and tissues.

 

Accessible to any student 14+ who is currently aspiring or working towards a career in medicine or healthcare.

 

You'll learn in-depth, how organ structure and function keeps you alive as well as see first hand by dissection and observation how different diseases affect the human body.

Part 1: Procedural approach
Part 2: Body Structure
Practical 1: Head & neck anatomy  + dissection
Practical 2: Thoracic anatomy + dissection
Practical 3: Abdominal anatomy + dissection
Practical 4: Extremity anatomy + dissection


Upon completion of the above sessions, you will have begun developing an A-LEVEL standard of knowledge surrounding anatomy, physiology, and disease pathology.

Upon joining MED-SOC you immediately receive access to MEDICPLAYER where you can continue learning anatomy, physiology, and hundreds of disease pathologies.

 

Our online streaming platform houses hundreds of hours of online content to boost and enrich your understanding of the medical sciences.

 

Each week there’s fresh new content including GCSE, NAT5, IGCSE, A-LEVEL, T LEVEL & HIGHERS material, all aligned to the national curriculum and matched to all main exam specifications.

 

You can watch live or on-demand on any device anywhere in the world. Upon 12 months of viewing of MEDICPLAYER content, you receive the MED-SOC KNOWLEDGE certificate, the second of three certificates from the UK’s biggest medical society.

JOURNEY

IN CLASS 

MED-SOC and your teachers are here to support you on your clinical journey.

 

After all, clinical careers start here. JOURNEY is comprised of 18 sessions delivered in school by your teacher. All schools receive our journey programme completely grant-funded with no costs.

 

Written in collaboration with our team of doctors and teachers, the 18 sessions are designed to laser focus your journey to successfully applying for a career in medicine.

 

Over the course of a year work through the sessions in school, to support everything from core curriculum learning, UCAT/BMAT preparation as well as interview coaching and techniques.
